Naledi – Supporting Access to Education

Naledi is a Swiss-based, volunteer-led Association, that awards scholarships to young people in southern Africa – specifically South Africa and Lesotho.

Our support enables talented students to pursue further education, even when financial resources are limited or universities are located far from home. This access to education provides a foundation for long-term improvements in their own lives and those of their families.

A key focus of Naledi’s work is the empowerment of young women.

By supporting female students in particular, we contribute to greater gender equality and help strengthen the role of women in society. While this is a priority, our programmes are open to all genders.

We remain committed to our students throughout their academic journey.

Where needed, Naledi provides additional support in the form of career guidance, mentoring and coaching – offered free of charge, either online or, where possible, in person.

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to fulfil their personal and professional potential.

Education is a powerful tool for promoting self-reliance, tackling poverty, and creating a fairer society – for women and men alike.

As a small organisation, we are aware that we cannot solve every challenge. But we also know that even small steps can lead to meaningful change – and for the individual, they may represent a major step towards a brighter future.
